Grandparents

Those two sympathetic faces
With wrinkles and specs on their faces
Lost in their own world,
Free from all responsibilities
Sitting by the window side
In their rocking arm chairs;
The grand father with his newspaper
And the grand mother with her knitting,
Watching children play to their heart's desire,
When suddenly, the grand children come running to them
Asking them for favors
And both of them with their sticks, hand in hand
Accompany them to the market,
And children return home with smiles on their faces,
That is the happiest moment for grandparents.
